8141e730f1 ggml-cpu: support K tails in power10 Q8/Q4 MMA matmul (#24753)
* ggml-cpu: support K tails in Power10 MMA Q8/Q4 matmul

This patch removes the requirement that K be divisible by kc in the tinyBlas_Q0_PPC tiled matmul path. Process the final K panel using its actual depth and pass the reduced panel size through packing and kernel execution. This allows more workloads to use the MMA kernel and reduces fallback to mnpack.

* ggml: Conditionally enable power11 backend based on compiler support

Guard POWER11 backend creation behind a compiler flag check for -mcpu=power11. This avoids build failures on current GCC/Clang toolchains while preserving forward compatibility once POWER11 support becomes available.

* ggml-cpu : disable tiled matmul on AIX to fix page boundary segfault

vec_xst operations in the tiled path crash on AIX when writing

shalinib-ibmandGitHub e6ec21e62f ggml-cpu: add always_inline to tinyBLAS_PPC accumulator saves (#20791)
Explicitly mark save_acc and add_save_Acc with always_inline

disassembly within kernel's register context, preventing un-necessary
stask spills.

shalinib-ibmandGitHub c6980ff29d ggml-cpu: Fix gcc 15 ICE on ppc64le (#20083) (#20130)
This patch addresses an Internal Compiler Error (Segmentation fault)
observed with gcc 15 by replacing the intrinsic + cast by doing
a cat on the data first and then calling the intrinsic. This bypasses the
buggy compiler path while maintaining identical instruction selection.

Performance Verification:
Assembly analysis on RHEL 9 (GCC 15.1.1) confirms that both the original
code and this fix generate the identical Power10 prefixed load instruction:
    `plxv 40, 2(14)`

This ensures zero performance regression while unblocking builds on
newer toolchains.

Reproduced on:
- Alpine Linux + GCC 15.2.0-r2
- RHEL 9 + GCC 15.1.1 (gcc-toolset-15)

shalinib-ibmandGitHub 3bb2fcc856 llamafile: powerpc: add FP16 MMA path for Q4/Q8 matmul (#19709)
Avoid xvi8ger4pp signed→unsigned bias correction by dequantizing Q4/Q8
inputs to FP16 and using FP16×FP16→FP32 MMA. This removes
post-processing overhead and improves performance.

Performance Impact:

measured with llama-bench and llama-batched-bench.

shalinib-ibmandGitHub a6a58d6478 llamafile: PowerPC Sgemm Optimization (#15558)
This patch improves GEMM for FP32 Data Type on PowerPC

Implements GEMM on large blocks with configurable block size mc, nc, kc
(default: 256, 256, 256).
Packing Function optimized to access blocks as per memory layout.
GEMM Optimized to work on larger blocks.
Isolated Packing from GEMM Operations for better MMA utilization.

Verified functionality and correctness uing llama-cli and stand alone
test case (performs matmul and compares final mattrix C result with base).

Minor code refactoring changes:
Replace macro with inline function
Code Indent made consistent with 4 spaces

Performance Testing:

Observed 50% ~ 70% improvement in Prompt Processing Speed mesured using
llama-bench with Meta-Llama3-8B FP32 Model. Similar gains observed with
Mistral-7b-Instruct-v0.3 Model.

093e3f1feb cmake : Handle mixed-case 'Power' strings in POWER CPU detection (#13966)
Some systems report the CPU implementation as "Power11" instead of "POWER11".
The existing CMake logic uses a case-sensitive regular expression to extract
the CPU generation, which fails when the casing doesn't exactly match "POWER".

This patch provides a fix by first converting the string to uppercase before applying the regex.

shalinib-ibmandGitHub 3f3769ba76 ggml : Enable MMA for BF16 in llamafile_sgemm (#13148)
This patch upstreams llamafile's cpu matrix multiplication kernels for ppc64le using MMA builtins for BF16 data type.

This change results in 9x - 40x gains
in total speed S t/s (ie all tokens/total time), across various batch sizes tested using llama-batched-bench benchmark.

The patch is tested with Meta-Lllama-3-8B,
and Mistral-7B models (BF16 models generated by using llama-quantize from corresponding FP32 models) on an IBM POWER10 machine.
